Alan Hawrylak has over 20 years of accounting experience including working with domestic and international public accounting firms bringing not only valuable accounting experience but administrative experience to HLB. Alan had owned and operated a staffing firm, focusing primarily on accounting candidates, prior to joining HLB. Since joining HLB, Alan has been instrumental in helping develop the firm infrastructure, image, and culture and is focused on the daily operations and vision of the firm. He also assists with strategic planning initiatives.

Phil Holmes brings over 20 years of public accounting experience and 3 years of industry experience to the firm (including internal audit and Regional CFO responsibilities for a public company). Jenene Schaffer brings 16 years of experience to the firm. She serves attest clients in many diverse industries. Donna Rutter, Tax Partner
With more than 19 years in the tax and accounting industry, Donna has designed and implemented state tax planning including legal entity structuring, inversion transactions, legal entity conversions, protection and deployment of intellectual property, domestic base shifting analysis, and sales/use tax planning. She has managed state tax audits, including filing of refund claims and dispute resolution hearings, managed compliance and outsourcing engagements for publicly held companies and implemented state sales/use tax strategies to minimize tax.

Andria Hearon, SALT Senior Manager
Andria Hearon has over 12 years experience in both industry and public practice advising clients on sales/use tax, income/franchise and business personal property tax. Her sales/use tax services include setting up and training client’s staff on proper sales/use tax procedures, research on taxability, requesting private letter rulings, as well as audit defense and controversy. Andria has been actively involved with the new Texas Margin Tax, assisting the TSCPA State Taxation committee with comments on the draft Rules released by the Comptroller. Andria prepared one of the top 1,000 Texas Margin tax information reports due in February 2007 as identified by the Texas Comptroller. Andria is heavily involved the firm’s FAS 109 and FIN 48 services. She manages multi-state income and franchise tax compliance, due diligence and corporate reorganizations and advises clients with tax planning and minimization for a variety of industries, focusing on retail/wholesale, manufacturers and real estate.

Robert Schwenn has been working in the public practice of accounting for over 17 years. He has served clients in a variety of industries with an emphasis on medical management groups, physician practices, manufacturing, wholesale, retail, restaurants, individual tax planning and compliance. Joan Voeller has primary responsibility for the Accounting Services rendered in the Irving Office. With more than 24 years in accounting, Joan has assisted clients in a wide variety of tax and financial accounting engagements. Prior to joining Hartman Leito & Bolt, LLP, Ms. Voeller was a partner in the Dallas office of another national accounting firm. Bonnie L. Siff, Audit Senior Manager
Bonnie has more than 14 years in the accounting industry and has worked extensively on audits employee benefit plans. Her related experience includes SEC filings, evaluation of SAS 70 reports, and assisting clients with compliance related matters and instruction related to preparing their plan financial statements. As a member of a national task force, she drafted and edited annual work program and practice aid updates to include new pronouncements and best practices.
